This is nothing new.

Also, "cancel culture"/boycotting isn't only a phenomenon of the "left". Some examples...

Remember the hoopla around the Dixie Chicks criticizing W? Trump constantly tweeted to his minions marching orders on which company they should boycott. How about John Lennon's comment on Jesus? People were literally bulldozing Beatles records (I bet those same folks wish they had those original vinyl's back, lol). Plenty of right wingers actively boycotted Nike when they sponsored Kap. I remember plenty of evangelicals up in arms about Harry Potter and its "satanic witchcraft", lol. It goes on and on.

As Bill Burr said "People give a **** about what they give a **** about", lol. That obviously applies to all things commercial, social, musical, cultural, etc. No one is innocent in this game.
What were the financial decisions that caused big bidness to attack the Skins? Were those decisons on the up and up? Wanna go just on blind faith? I prefer profit motives for advertising, you may have another take. "The Market" had Jack Squat to with this evil intent. These high rollers like Nike have so many other customers, they can swing their dicks around as they please.

17 the Dixie Chicks. They 17'd up on foreign soil and paid a price because their CUSTOMERS were pissed at what they did. The Skins were not 17ing with anyione; especially their FANS. It's called premeditation; there's a BIG difference.

There's a big difference between "Right Wingers" (i.e. individuals making personal decisions) vs Corporate Strong Armed Tacticts. Grass Roots vs the Establishment and shit.
