Your absolutely right. I personally think we are a top 15 team. I haven’t seen enough yet to say without a doubt we are a top 5-10 team. We are close though and certainly have the potential to be. Sec west is going to be brutal this year.

Sumlin was 16-20 vs the sec west. 12 of those 16 came against Arkansas or happened when he had manziel.

41 of his 51 wins weren?t good ones. 17 were against non power 5 teams. 6 came against Arkansas. 18 came against teams that finished no better than 8-5. 9 of those 18 were against teams that finished below 500.

If that doesn?t scream mediocre I don?t know what does.

I?ve also seen you be hard on some state teams for finishing with 7-8 wins.

Judging your version of good seems like you should be happy with a coach at state who wins 7-8 games and has one good season every 6 years.

Jimbo is light years better as a college coach than Sumlin. Again, look at sumlin at AZ they are terrible.

My entire argument isn't that Sumlin is good. It's that what they did against Clemson isn't a big deal and meant nothing as far as them becoming a giant. They've done it before.

Agree that Fisher is better than Sumlin, but so was Sherrill and RC. Point is that no one has been able to figure out A&M and I'm not calling that someone will turn them into a giant until I see it.

There is a lot of history at that school that tells us that it's gonna take more than just a good coach and recruiting well.
