Let's pitch self the 7th and 8th. Then start him tomorrow bc he's well rested.
That's not at all what I'm advocating. If he doesn't throw tonight I want him to pitch 5 tomorrow though. And I'm fine with him pitching 4-6 in any one game then rest a week. Throwing programs in college aren't like MLB, meaning he's not conditioned to just throw 20 pitches every day.
That said, I can respect your viewpoint.
