I wanna maximize his value. 1 inning with a 3-run lead isn't maximizing his value. I want to use him when we're in a jam (game on line) or try to stretch him out to 4 tomorrow

Only if we don't need him. So he can be extended tomorrow. If it gets dangerous or at the first sign of trouble, I absolutely want Self or price in. You know baseball-surely you understand that.

Guys right now I think self is our closer. Prices ankle may be a little more dinged up than we think.

I would let Gordon go until someone gets on base. But I was saying that last inning too though. So Self would already be pitching if I was running things. Haha

You don't waste speed by putting it at 1st base on defense. Rooker will play OF at the next level

That's a freaking gut shot if price is too banged up to perform well

I knew a couple of you would crawl your way out of pitching self in the 5th, then in the 7th, then keep Gordon in, then start self tomorrow...oh but only pitch him when we can maximize his value...neither of you have a ****ing clue. Self is the closer right now deal with it.

We will see. But I've watched him for three years and he is a better first baseman than OF. If he can play either in MLB, even better.

Not really. If price is healthy self is the 8th inning guy. Not starting and not comin in in the 5th.
