2016 MSU Football Recruiting Thread

I know most of our concern is with the high star guys and rightfully so, but I really hope we get dowdell, cushenberry, and Reese. Assuming we get lashley with those 3, we'll have maybe our best oline class under Mullen.

No kidding. I'm tired of flirting with disaster almost every year on the O-Line. Since 2010, the only year our OL has been more than adequate was in 2014.

I hope we get 2 out of those 3. Hopefully, South Carolina decides to drop Cushenberry which seems possible and FSU doesn't offer Reese.

Both of those scenarios look really possible even though South Carolina would honor Cushenberry's commitment but they won't fight him if he flips. His mom wants him at MSU bc it's so much closer to home. It's a 50/50 shot whether or not FSU even brings Reese in for an OV this week.

I know for a fact USCe isnt going to drop Cush and they are still on him and want him.. ... No matter what any media sources say after the fact..
If we get him is not because they dropped him or "moved on"

While there's no guarantees, we certainly are bringing in the numbers to build depth. We already have Eiland, Parker, and Thomas committed. Isn't Thomas expected to move to OT?

Contacted Steve Farrar, Zach's Dad, earlier this morning. Zach talked to Coach Stoops last night, by phone, and he may not be coming with Riley tonight to visit with the family because of scheduling? Don't know if anybody else is coming? Mississippi State calls Zach every night, including last night, and they are coming to visit on Thursday. Steve told me that they are definitely going to Norman for the official visit this weekend, including Cazandra, Steve's wife/Zach's Mom.

Right now it appears that Zach is still excited about Mississippi State as they are telling him that he is going to 'be the man' there and they have recruited Zach a lot longer than OU. Zach wants to go to Law School. Mississippi State does not have one. That bodes well for OU. Hopefully OU will show Zach the law school and the baseball stadium? Playing baseball at OU is ultra important to Zach, he loves the sport.

Steve is going to call me later today for updates. I'm trying!!! I want Zach at OU!

Law school is a post grad degree. MSU has pre-law, so the law school angle should be irrelevant.

I laughed at the law school part. He can feel free to go to OU law school AFTER his playing days at MSU or NFL are over

No inside knowledge but this guy is starting to remind me of the guy last year who posted on LSU board who claimed to have all of this inside knowledge of Leo Lewis but really didn't know anything. We'll see if this guy is different.

How is this not a recruiting violation? Aren't these recruiting sites at least supposed to pretend that they are not actively participating in recruiting in order to be able to talk to recruits? Or if it's not a 247 official, how is it not a booster contact?

Paul just posted a good AJ interview. Appears to be set on visiting Wed and Thursday.

Says MSU is coming on strong.

Also, Paul appears to be the only media member that can get AJ on the phone for an interview. Take that FWIW
