Paul just posted a good AJ interview. Appears to be set on visiting Wed and Thursday.

Says MSU is coming on strong.

Also, Paul appears to be the only media member that can get AJ on the phone for an interview. Take that FWIW

It sounds like to me that Rosebowl is getting blackballed by AJ and he is taking it out on AJ. This happened with Bryant when Bryant made him look bad by going on the USM visit, and then Steve bashed him on Twitter.

Now, AJ is being dismissive to Cohen?

If anyone likes Rosey because of all the NCAA about to hammer the bears talk, thats great - but please understand this is exactly what he does when he puts Steve first and MSU second.

It sounds like to me that Rosebowl is getting blackballed by AJ and he is taking it out on AJ. This happened with Bryant when Bryant made him look bad by going on the USM visit, and then Steve bashed him on Twitter.

Now, AJ is being dismissive to Cohen?

If anyone likes Rosey because of all the NCAA about to hammer the bears talk, thats great - but please understand this is exactly what he does when he puts Steve first and MSU second.

I could be wrong, but between Paul & Robbie, I would guess that they both have more sources on AJ than Rosebowl.

Paul and Robbie are 2 people and both have lived in Starkville far longer than Steve and, due to that, should have more personal relationships with AJ and family members than Steve.

Don't forget that Robbie also works for the SDN and covers Starkville HS sports. Just seems like it would be difficult for Steve to have better sources on this particular player than Paul and Robbie. This thinking also seems to be confirmed by the fact Paul appears to be the only reporter between MSU, Ole Miss, and Bama that can get an interview with AJ.

We shall soon see.

Farrar Update:

Contacted Steve Farrar, Zach's Dad, earlier this morning. Zach talked to Coach Stoops last night, by phone, and he may not be coming with Riley tonight to visit with the family because of scheduling? Don't know if anybody else is coming? Mississippi State calls Zach every night, including last night, and they are coming to visit on Thursday. Steve told me that they are definitely going to Norman for the official visit this weekend, including Cazandra, Steve's wife/Zach's Mom.

Right now it appears that Zach is still excited about Mississippi State as they are telling him that he is going to 'be the man' there and they have recruited Zach a lot longer than OU. Zach wants to go to Law School. Mississippi State does not have one. That bodes well for OU. Hopefully OU will show Zach the law school and the baseball stadium? Playing baseball at OU is ultra important to Zach, he loves the sport.

Steve is going to call me later today for updates. I'm trying!!! I want Zach at OU!

This is where this guy loses ALL credibility!!! Anybody we have ever recruited will tell you that our staff does NOT do this. We tell them they will have a chance to compete if they work hard.

Steve is a hard worker. He runs a camp. He watches a ton of video. He goes and sees these kids play in person. He does Bulldog radio and he does the website. Steve is generally more knowledgeable than other website guys about the recruits. In the case of AJ, hopefully he is wrong, but it definitely gives reason for pause. Personally, I feel if AJ doesn't officially visit mid-week, he doesn't sign with us.

I don't there is a strong consensus on Simmons. It's been pretty consistant that he is a big battle. The best I have really seen is that we are in a better position lately for him.

But I just wonder what he is basing this on? I almost feel like Steve is extrapolating that a cold shoulder to him by AJ equals a cold shoulder to MSU. Its obvious after the Brandon Bryant incident that Steve doesn't have close sources on the coaching staff. I really have no clue what Steve is basing his assessment on about where AJ is leaning. I mean to say AJ is 80-85% going to Bama it would seem you would need someone close to the situation to dole out numbers like that but I don't see that Steve has any. Almost appears like he is going off of gut feel.
