Could ESPN (this a.m.) not have found a stadium pic from 2007 in the Croom era? Geezus! Embarrassing on their part but apparently too late to change.

What is also interesting is Nike also owns the traditional maize color for the Michigan uniform. That's why Addias had to design a different yellow.

In my experience, most folks I know in Mississippi and folks where I live now refer to us more often as "State" rather than "MSU." As much as I like the interlocking logo, the M-State logo seems to make a lot of sense in reinforcing "State" as part of our identify.

$125K should be pocket change for most major universities, especially within the SEC. Hell, we probably spend well more than that on all the perennials around campus every year.

Glad its changing, every time I looked at it, it reminded me of the LA Teach game... Seriously. I also like the new logo, the interlocking one just seemed too cartoonish. Hopefully when I head to campus tomorrow, they might have something started on the new logo paint job. Ill see if I can post some pics.

That's just not true at all. This is being paid for by the university and athletic department as a part of a larger project to update all the incorrect logos on campus.

I liked the interlocking logo back in the day. Though I saw an old game on television a few weeks ago and the interlocking logo looks outdated to me, now. I like what we have in place (I'm 53 btw).

I'd also wish for the baseball logo!

To stay solely for the baseball team logo? Yep, me too. That is our baseball logo and better always be our baseball logo. It doesn't need to be for football.

In case anyone cares... Ha. From what I can tell when I drive to campus every day, they are going to paint the full Mississippi State logo on the tower by the vet school.

Makes sense. I actually like that idea best.
