He has stated multiple times that Bookie had to be physically restrained from Arnett after the Kentucky game because Arnett went in the locker room and said that two more wins in HIS job was safe. I’ve had that story told me a dozen times by people who love Zach Arnett and people who hated Zach Arnett. That story is true. However, you can get pissed at somebody in the heat of the moment in the locker room after a loss after they said something stupid, and it was stupid, but still think the guy is a good defensive coordinator. Because he is a good defensive coordinator. He just sucks as a head coach. But we didn’t hire him to be that.

Todd and others have legitimate concerns about this hire as do I. Now, I?m not going to completely dog it because Arnett had decent defenses under Leach, but it just seems like the usual panic MSU hire.

So, which concern isn't a legit concern? I'm just curious here because right now all fans have right now is "hope" as in "I hope he has learned a lesson." And you know what? Maybe he has learned some lessons and is better than ever before. But until he proves that the concerns are still there.
When you hire a figure that was a part of the downfall of a program back you are going to have fans that have concerns and I am far from the only one.

So because a player tweets an emoji it means that they never had an issue with the coach? Got it.
MSU fans don't understand that it's not always that black and white. You can have issues with someone and then still be Ok with them. It's not "the players loved so and so all the time" or "the players hates so and so" the entire time either.

I?ll say this about OM, their fans pull in the same direction for their school. You intentionally tried to bash our new DC by insinuating one of his players would hate the hire.

I've done it. The times I fought it, I looked bad...the times I owned it, it ended quickly.
You can not love the hire but still not be an emotional basket case about it.

It's much easier to pull in the same direction when MSU doesn't make divisive decisions. They do not always do things that help with that. The interlocking MSU is exhibit A of that isn't it? It took them 20+ years to come back to that even though fans wanted it for years.
How would Ole Miss fans react if they replaced Kiffin with Coach O? Some would say he did well at LSU and won a NC. Some would point out that he had issues winning at Ole Miss and only won because of Joe Burrow. It's easy to pull in the same direction when you are 11-1 and your schedule is easy.
The incident with Bookie has been confirmed in this thread. You can believe it or not. The mistake I made was taking what happened in the locker room into the public and I should not have done that. That doesn't change what happened and it was more than one player that issues with Arnett.

My real frustration is MSU makes these types of moves repeatedly. I keep thinking oh we learned our lesson now but no.
Maybe MSU is due for it to work out for once.
