Where are you getting those stats? Mississippi is giving 31.5 ppg in conference games.
State is giving up 31.6. And that's with 7 coming in OT vs TN. Take those away and we are giving up 29.3.
I'll also add that our offense, not our defense, allowed at least 14 of those points vs TN.
Certainly not perfect, but here's the breakdown of defensive scores in conf play and possessions in OT...
10 def scores in sec play
12 team possessions in conf OT
So while it isn't perfect, conf only stats has this built in for all teams
