i'm legitimately asking because if it does not then those numbers aren't accurate based solely on points allowed. i've been frustrated with our defense at time but overall they have played well enough for us to have two more wins.

It does include those, which sucks for the defense, but they count against all sec teams' defensive scoring stats too.

Our defense has been playing hard, and they are really good in the red zone. They have gotten better at not giving in. Secondary has played best as a group I think, just need to contain Manning from getting outside and we need some turnovers on defense.

Ark and OM are horrible matchups for us. Texas is a decent matchup, so if we want an sec win, we better cash in Saturday

So while it isn't perfect, conf only stats has this built in for all teams

Probably a better judge of the defense is yds/play and/or total yds. In conf play, we've done the following...

6.44 yds/play (15th)
465.7 yds allowed/game (15th)

Only ark is worse at both.

Our saving grace is ints. We are 2nd in conf in int/game. If this keeps up, we give ourselves a chance to win despite being run through for the most part, but if they stop, close games become blow outs

Where are you getting those stats? Mississippi is giving 30 ppg in conference games.
State is giving up 31.6. And that's with 7 coming in OT vs TN. Take those away and we are giving up 29.3.

But where are you seeing that Mississippi is 4th in scoring D and we are 13th? They are giving up 30 ppg in sec play to our 31.6. No way there is that big a gap over 1.6 ppg.
