But he still threw for over 300 yds and did make some good throws and good plays. I know for an absolute fact that Kamario could not have made the 4th and 16 pass to Thompson when we were down 9. He would have hit Sunbelt Billy with the ball. Shapen is what he is, a more mobile and stronger arm version of Will Rogers without the intelligence of Will. That can win you 2 more games. Yesterday sucked, but the season is not over and we are not making a QB change. If that is going to cause people to jump off the boat then I hate to see it, but you were looking for reasons to do it and were not bought in.
shapen does not give us the best chance to win, certainly not an SEC game, and you certianly can't say that based on any evidence we've seen in actual games. being specific, 8 of the first 10 offensive scripted plays were run plays and shapen missed the reads on at least 4 of them. so shapen is only capable of running 8 of 10 running plays even when a 5th year senior misses the run read at least 4 times? of course not. kamario is ready now and probably has us up 21-0 after those 10 plays especially if he got the #1 reps in practice. a good coach knows how to adjust to his strengths. shapen throws comeback hitches due to big cushions, deep crossers (if not sacked) and intermittent deep ball completions. kamario can certainly do that. I do agree that both will rogers and shapen have play with a high level of self preservation. shapen just left 200+ yds on the field, lost to a bunch of true fr dbs, and a lame duck coach so there's no way that he's our best chance to win.
