Personally, I don't think Ole Miss could get into a bidding war with Ole Miss without it starting to effect their NIL.
They can get into a bidding war, win it, and it will not affect one damn thing. Dickie Scruggs, David Nutt, Jerry Hollingsworth, John Black, and Bill Jordan will go as high as Keith needs them to go. They are 100% bought in for Kiffin. They will find the money. Florida is not that bought in.
Also, how is it much easier to make it at Florida? I mean if it was so easy to win at Florida, why did Ron Zook fail? Why did Will Muschamp fail? Why did Jim McElwain fail? Why did Dan Mullen ultimately fail? Why did Napier fail? It is not easier to win there. Their boosters are batshit crazy and think it is still 1996 and they are the only team that runs a spread offense.
Both schools are in the SEC and there are no divisions. Some of you are still operating like this is 2005. HS recruiting does not really matter, paying players is completely legal, and OM is a hell of a lot more consistent than Florida has been in the last 15 years. Outside of the Mullen years, Florida has been two steps below mediocre. Hell outside of those 3 years you could argue Florida is a bottom 3rd team in the SEC in the last 15 years. That is just not as attractive a job as it was 15 years ago, especially in the NIL era.
