I think MSU baseball has gone through different stages historically.

We have always been a Southern baseball power back to the days of Willie Mitchell.

Then we finally went to Omaha with Gregory in 1971. And that became the bar.

Then Polk raised the bar when we beat Cal State Fullerton in our opening game in 1979. That became the bar. To make it to Omaha and make some noise.

Then Thunder and Lightning happened in 1985 and MSU fans began to believe that maybe we could win a National Championship.

Then we made the finals under Cohen in 2013 and that increased the belief.

2021 was the final step which showed that we could win anything and everything in college baseball.

Now is the time to become a powerhouse that we all know that we can be.

I've always said that college baseball is better when Mississippi State is good at baseball. When you consider the circumstances that the program is in location wise there is no more passionate fan base. Winning is going to take it to another level because people love a winner. And I met people that became MSU baseball fans because of 2021. If we win more National Championships it's going to be unimaginable I think.
