You can actually cheer and clap sitting as well as standing - I know, a novel concept for you young jug heads. How would like to be sitting next to the Vanderbilt whistler? He is not blocking anyones view but he sure is obnoxious and decreases the enjoyment of others attending the game, according to popsters on this site, and so it is for those who do not or cannot stand 100 times during a game.
Is attending a game only for the under 35 crowd? If it is for the under 35, then donations will decrease dramatically as it is usually the older population that has the disposable income to meaningfully contribute to college sports - think about that all of you NIL guys.
It has been noted in this post that the lady in question, that complained, is older and maybe she or her husband cannot "physically" stand up after every play. What ever happened to common decency or manners where we at least try to not piss off others sitting around us at a game. Common courtesy is a thing of the past - yuck!
Stay at home francis. Common courtesy is understanding that you who purchased one ticket do not matter more than the other 10K folks.
Buy courtside or stay at home if you want an unobstructed view.

The lady in question is an ass. I am tired of being nice about it. We need to rid the fanbase of people like her, and her specifically. She thinks she is hot shit because she won a ladies football clinic combine like 4 years ago. She consistently bashes fans who do not share her opinion and just doubles down when people call her out. It is nauseating.
It is one thing to ask a kid to sit down because you cannot see because you cannot stand. It is another thing to post about it on Twitter and think you are hot shit and people are going to agree with you. It is worse to then double down on it when people say your take is dumb as hell. Everyone around her needs to stand the entire time at the next game. She is the exact type of person that will pull a Karen and try to get them thrown out.

It's odd that she complained but it's REALLY odd she tagged Cam Matthews in the tweet? Did she think he would respond telling people to sit down and stop getting excited?

It's pretty obvious looking at her Twitter feed. She is only upset because she posts clips of nearly every bucket made and the kid was messing up her video. She couldn't get clear shots on some baskets, and that made her mad.
I don't know her, nor follow her on Twitter - but the comparison to the bus driver seems appropriate. Both seem to think they're some sort of self-appointed fan ambassador or something.

That is weird. Like what does she expect him to do? Why would he give a rip?

MSU seems to have a larger percentage of fans like that than others. I think it has to do with fans coming from a small town and whatever MSU does is basically the pinnacle of their sports watching life.

She?s an ass at baseball games as well. Does stupid softball chants the whole time and doesn?t understand a thing about the game. She and the bus driver are holding MSU back.

Maroon Karen has an entitlement issue. If we want the Hump to rock and be a real home court advantage like it used to be the fans need get excited. The bus driver does have some of the same issues.

She is 100x worse than Everett, and that is saying A LOT. At least Everett has given something of tangible value to the university.

Yeah this needs to be nipped in the bud before we have blue hairs getting really upset over this. At Kentucky they have game attendants go tell younger people that are standing up in the blue hairs section to sit down constantly while the older crowd is sitting on their thumbs not making any noise and that fanbase is really at odds with each other over that.

I think the response has nipped it in the bud. 99.9% of people have told her she is a blue haired Karen and needs to get over it. I do think it would be humorous if Jans came out and said we need everyone on their feet for 60 minutes on Saturday.

Let me see if I can moderate this discussion some. Not trying to exacerbate the situation and I'm definitely not trying to stand up for MarronMary. Heck, I would be standing and cheering as much as I could if I was able to come. Just trying to add some perspective.
When I was younger I thought my parents were insane and I loved loud music. The older I've gotten the smarter my parents have become and I can't stand loud music. It's not that I don't like music, it's that it physically hurts when it's loud now. With that said for some older folks it's physically impossible to stand for.long periods of time. Just saying.
So, I'm sure the older folk would love to have courtside seats if they can afford it to have an unobstructed view. However if they did, aren't those the coveted seats that the students are demanding. And, older folk are more prone to not coming to games for weather and health related reasons (empty seats).
So do you want old folk to come to the game or not? Or do you just prefer that they wander off and die? I really don't think thats what you want. I was always taught by my parents, who keep getting smarter, to respect your elders. They've earned it.

marron karen ( mary) is actually trying to video portions of games and often times to video each basket and then post it on social media cuz she thinks she's that important. this has zilch to do with respecting elders. she doesn't come close to respecting a soul from what I've seen of her.

That's funny; I like it. At least I haven't lost my sense of humor.

I live 3 hours from Starkville. After I graduated in '93 I would routinely drive to Starkville for midweek basketball and drive back home after the game. Did this for probably 10 years before kids, work, and life made it difficult. I may try it this year but even if my old ass made the drive it would be difficult for me to stand a majority of the game. But it would be stupid for the current version of me to yell at a younger version of me who can stand a lot.
We talk about younger generations being spoiled but older generations can be pretty spoiled too.

Ive seen her on Twitter for years, I normally don't have a problem with her post but that was a terrible post, what made it worse was she defended it!
Do people really expect everyone to sit down the entire game?

Absolutely!! I'm often accused of having become a crotchety old man and saying things that offend people. That's OK. Heck, I'm offended by some of the things that I say. LOL.
