Mississippi State fanbase
For the past decade or more, fans have complained about the atmosphere and attendance at basketball games. Now that attendance and atmosphere are back, we have fans wants people to sit down at games. It is the older crowd that wants fans to sit down, shut up and we are spoiled.

She is a loon. I truly wish she would stop coming to State sporting events. She complains about everything. I have had her muted on Twitter for about 5 years but I still see some the crap she says because she will go after other State fans who do not agree with her viewpoint.

Yea, She DM me with her long explanation that I shot down. Her and the bus driver must be besties

Go sit at home and watch on TV if you want an unobstructed view of the game. Being at the game is about the experience of the setting and soaking in the atmosphere. TV is if you want to watch the perfect view and see everything perfectly in the game. Being mad at people showing emotion in the crowd, especially fans of the home team, is just being a self-centered main character. Go watch golf or tennis, if you'll notice - those players skew snobby and spoiled, so probably right up your alley of company you want to keep. Basketball, baseball, football... not your crowd so why are you here taking a seat away from someone who'd actually enjoy being at the game.

Thats so embarsssing. I?m sure she has no shame though. Entitled ass woman

I know Mary. She's at every game and bleeds maroon.
That doesn't mean she's not an idiot though. I guess every fanbase has these fans, but damn, our's seem to be loud and extra annoying.
-
Mary's a loon but there are a lot more people that think like her. I've been yelled at to sit down many times at basketball games.

It is just a bad take and that is it. Her and other guy name Benny Keith ( must be her husband) are dying on that hill. It is what it is.

Her making a bad take is one thing, but she should've just deleted the tweet when it started to blow up to save herself from any more bashing. I hate an elderly lady is getting bullied on the internet, but she did it to herself and she's even doubled down on it.

She is getting destroyed on X. Hell, she even DM me with her case. Of course, I am not having it. This is almost as bad when Everett posted the Saban video and told fans that they were spoiled

Unironically, Zac Selmon could win a whole lot of fanbase favor by publicly praising that kid and saying that he and Coach Jans want people showing emotion and passion for our top 10 basketball program. Someone still on twitter DM him and ask him to weigh in his thoughts.

If she doesn't like it then she needs to stand up and cheer. She'll be able to see better.

It's crazy to me that fans would go to a sporting event and be upset about fans cheering.
This isn't an opera.

She’s an old horse lady. Horse people are worse than addicts. At least the addicts have excuses to be as looney as they are.
-
Everyone that has a ticket to a game is allowed to stand up. If you don?t like it, get a seat closer.

Ah, this is where your whole argument for a ticket falls apart. The ticket is for a seat not for a standing room only area. While it is customary to stand at particular exciting times during a game, standing the whole game or even a large portion thereof is obnoxious for those sitting behind you. You can actually cheer and clap sitting as well as standing - I know, a novel concept for you young jug heads. How would like to be sitting next to the Vanderbilt whistler? He is not blocking anyones view but he sure is obnoxious and decreases the enjoyment of others attending the game, according to popsters on this site, and so it is for those who do not or cannot stand 100 times during a game.
Is attending a game only for the under 35 crowd? If it is for the under 35, then donations will decrease dramatically as it is usually the older population that has the disposable income to meaningfully contribute to college sports - think about that all of you NIL guys.
It has been noted in this post that the lady in question, that complained, is older and maybe she or her husband cannot "physically" stand up after every play. What ever happened to common decency or manners where we at least try to not piss off others sitting around us at a game. Common courtesy is a thing of the past - yuck!
