They remind me of our men’s basketball team tonight. Bitching at the ump instead of just adjusting to it and playing. Hell Small didn’t even take advantage of the strike zone as he was serving up 87-88 mph fastballs right down Broadway. There is no way in hell he should have been pitching anywhere near the plate with this ump.

lol are you serious? I simply don't believe you've been watching the game. He's been inconsistent on the outside corner as well as what's low. Inside corner is all hes' been consistent on, and the pitchers rarely use it since they can get 4+ inches off the plate as often as not

He has been 87-93 with his fastball since the first inning. It is the timing and location of his pitches that works. That is how he leads the league in Ks pitching mostly fastballs.

Yes, I do. Small was shit that inning. Doesn't change the fact the the entire inning changed when Walsh called that 3-2 pitch a ball.

And our hitters keep looking at strike 3 on pitches that have to be swung at when you know the ump has a generous strike zone. Walsh sucks but he is not the reason we are losing. Yea, Ark got one walk on a borderline pitch but Walsh didn't throw batting practice fastballs to give up 4 straight hits in an inning (minus a sac bunt).

Oh of course he's terrible. But since everyone knew it going in we should be swinging.

At some point it's the hitters fault for not adjusting. If an ump is consistently bad, swing the bat.

Same for me. I defended the basketball refs all year against MarketingBully's constant bitching. The only other time I have complained about the umps in baseball is the last time Walsh was calling balls and strikes.
