I agree with you. Especially since he's not a December grad.

The problem some kids have to realize, is they can be replaced if they aren’t top end guys. It’s not hard to find a 3 star OL or a mediocre WR. We can, and will find guys like them.

He?s a JUCO guy with 2 years left...most programs want those guys on campus in January

Hes got a lot of ability. I dont think you throw the kid away for that. Obviously if he is a grade issue or if he cant make it to spring then that makes it easier but I wouldnt pull that trigger over this

Here's the thing. I don't think any of us, including myself, would have a problem with staff dropping Payton because he wouldn't be done until May.

Shotgun said drop him because he said he wouldn't take a visit anywhere else and he did. That I have a problem with. Like I said, there's a few kids that have really meant a lot to our program over the years that we would have to have dropped because of that. It wasn't a smart statement. But again, if someone suggested that we drop him because he isn't a January enrollee, then that makes total sense. But for taking a visit when he said he wouldn't? That's just really not smart.

Washington was at FSU on an unofficial and he did not get an offer at this point. His status is in trouble.

Emerson went on an official to Miami. He said he is going to GT and Virginia in January.

Both of these guys and Payton may get voted off the island

He may be 100% MSU, but it would be nice to have him sign in December and be an influence on some of our other signees.

Emerson and Washington will not be ?voted? off an island. Those are the two most underrated commitments we have. Those two aren?t just depth guys, they?re future starters.

I?m not concerned with Payton. He?s easily replaceable. I?m talking Washington and Pickering etc.

They are looking to go elsewhere. They may get their wish. Washington will bolt the minute FSU says he has a spot. That's why even with no other visits, he is not signing early. If Banda stays at Miami ss DC, Emerson is gone. It's not that hard to understand.

He?s our 2nd biggest recruiter behind JJ. Recruits know what he?s doing. It?s our fans that are stupid.

Washington? He’s a project. But we’ve let Bedford go, so he’s more important now unless we’ve got somebody on deck. Emerson is not replaceable.

No Shotgun took into account the fact the he's not that good, won't be here till Summer, and lied about visiting somewhere else. Collectively, those three things are the reason I'd drop him.

Early signing period hasn't been in existence long enough to know trends of what it means if someone does not sign early

No. The major reason we didn't take richardson is bc he our staff didn't think he could play. That's a fact.

Needs to be dropped. JUCOs that do this aren't worth it or ready to contribute to a winning SEC team. He's a 3 star WR that barely contributed to his JUCO team this season.

I was all about his potential & ceiling, but if he isn't mature enough to be honest, he has no chance of helping us next year

Read your own words again Shotgun. Anyone that reads this would berybclearly think you are saying he should be dropped because he wasn't honest. Because that's what you said.

It would be nice if grown men would understand these kids only have one chance in life to enjoy the events they are experiencing and some want to make the most of it.

He has only been committed to us a few weeks. We didn't take his commitment with the knowledge that he was unlikely to be or even wouldn't be a Dec grad? That makes no sense to me if our staff is doing their homework.

That’s exactly what he said. Somebody who spends most of their life on a message board is making judgemental decisions about 17-18 yr old kids. We were all that age once. We were all immature. We were all influenced by others. Most of us were probably dishonest at some point.

Shotgun you need to back off these kids. Your attitude and negative comments are not representative of good fan support and good support of young men in general (and we all get like this from time to time including me). Unless you are a 16 yr old sitting at that keyboard, you are the one being immature.
