If the staff wants him he stays. If not he gets dropped. So be it.
I?m gonna take up for shotgun here. He and his dad told us he was not going to visit UT then showed up. Also there are concerns that he won?t get out in January

A Bama guy just tweeted about Pickering losing Hud as part of his recruitment and it being interesting to watch. Pickering tweeted "I wish Coach Hud and his family nothing but the best but...nope! #HailStateForever
Some of our fan base doesn't understand this generation of kids which means they don't understand recruiting.

Here's the thing. You don't drop kids forntakikg visits. You drop them for the second part. He's a juco that may not get in early.
If shotgun had said that no one would have had a problem. But instead he said drop him taking a visit because he said he wouldn't. You don't do that crap

Would you lie about it to the team you are committed too?
Also, what if this kid could get to campus till June?

So let's say the dad is the one that forced this and the kid didn't have a choice. You still cool with dropping him?
There would be a few other guys we got that we would have to retroactively drop for this crap too.

But here's the deal:
1. Pickering has been completely honest the entire time. He is invested in MSU.
2. Pickering is much much better prospect than Payton
Two completely different situations & maturity in the way it's being handled

I'm not going to argue with you about this. I wouldn't take the kid.

Seattle down. He’s 100% MSU. Our fans need to let him have his fun. It’s all work once he signs with us.

That's fine if YOU wouldn't but let's allow our coaches to handle this as they see fit. Sort of reminds me of when Rosebowl went on about us likely dropping Brandon Bryant when he unexpectedly took a visit to USM. Our coaches worked through it with him and we kept him in the boat. I'll just trust the coaches to handle this situation with Payton.

My instinct tells me to put 50/50 on anybody that isn't signing this week. And for that I do. Visits are cool, but I personally don't buy the need to go everywhere before I sign crap. Why subject yourself to the pressure, the hemming and hawing of other people trying to get you to think like them. Especially with UT and Nick bastard Saban in the same neighborhood. Paint my face skeptical.

I think the bigger issue is that he will not graduate until May, missing all of the spring. That?s a major reason we dropped M. Richardson. He may not be a take at this point.
