Sorry Todd BUT that would be just one more rule that will be used and abused. Have visions of Bama putting kids on 'academic' just to keep them away from rest of SEC West schools.

I get what you guys mean when you say we "stuck with Moore after his injury", but he's a highly rated prospect. Pretty much any school would've stuck with him had he been committed to them.
However, the games he's playing are BS. Hopefully after today's visit, he'll either be with us or told by JoMo to screw off because we don't have to put up with it.
If Moore was a WR or CB I'd say it sucks but we have to put up with his crap because we don't recruit this position at a great level. On the DL I tell him you with us or kick rocks.
If we don't pull Young and/or Moore, then we've got a hole in our depth on DL.
What time was/is our in home with Moore?
Just a damn shame, the kid was so Maroon for so long and somebody coach, friend or family dissuaded him. Damn shame!
My guess & this is just a guess, is that some in his family believe that his problems (reasons for getting suspended) are based on "hanging with the wrong crowd" & that moving away from that crowd may be the best thing for him.
Of course that line of thinking has many drawbacks as well.
That's just my guess. I don't believe this situation has anything to do with MSU & more to do the location of MSU & it's proximity to Louisville.
UGA is all in on Mingo. They have lost some JRs to the draft and are selling Mingo hard on that. I think its a State/UGA battle as to where he goes. We are going to put Hughes on him and see what happens. His OV is this weekend and Will Rogers is going with him.
If he comes here he knows he will be the man, deservedly so. But he has been a UGA fan all his life but he knows he wasnt their number 1 option and he isnt happy about it
I think it will be a signing day decision for Mingo and the craziest parts of his recruitment will happen between now and then. It wont be bad bc hes not that type of kid but he is going to have a lot of things thrown at him between now and then bc UGA, FSU, MSU and OM all think they have a shot. I would be surprised if he stuck with OM after their hire. He will visit all of them but I will give us a 50/50 shot at the worst.
So how did the in house with Moore go?
Lee Autry is the only one who has taken snaps (other than redshirt snaps allowed now in 4 games). The depth at DT is one of my biggest concerns. We will be depending on unproven players to play a huge role. Someone will actually be required to start at DT who has taken no snaps at the position (other than the 4 redshirt games). It might be the only position on the roster where that is required. But I do love the potential of the young guys.
247sports readjusted their ratings so that Charles Moore is now #3 in the state. He's ranked higher than Pickering which is completely laughable. Charles Cross, who many thought would be a 5 star, didn't move much. It's all about who you're committed to with these rankings.
300th page. Just saying. 7 pages of recruiting and 293 pages of whatever Clemson, Bama, and Oklahoma are doing.lol
He was ranked #27 back in November 2017. Then in December there was a lot of chatter he might commit to us. He jumped to the 70s. In February he commits to us and boom. He jumps into the 80's. Then progressively over the next year he hovers in the high 90s and low 100's. He decommits from us and all of a sudden he's now #62 overall. The last time he was ranked that high was November of 2017, 3 months BEFORE he committed to us.
Tell me that isn't messed up.
This is a prime example of why we shouldn't chase recruiting stars. We've (myself included) gotten wrapped up into the evaluation system of these sites to the point that we don't acknowledge the evaluation done by our staff (the ones being paid to recruit).
It is used as fodder when we don't "lock up" the state of MS or people that claim this year's class is deep in talent. The last time I checked, we rose to #1 in the country (albeit it was bit of a mirage) with the talent we signed and it wasn't a bunch of 5* kids.
I think we could all agree that the level of talent our staff is bringing in is head and shoulders ahead of where we were 10-12 years ago.
