Johnson would be a great get for us.

I agree. I know he had some troubles this season between injuries and drops, but I believe getting back around Moorhead could help get him back to his 2017 form.

Mingo's dad was at the GYM last week. I wanted to talk to him just to ask about the All American game but stayed away.

I'd go 80% on DJ James (late Auburn offer would screw us)
Byron Young 65%
John Rys Plumlee 50%
Jonathan Mingo 50% (wanna go higher here but will stick with this for now)

Man, I really want young and Pickering. If we somehow can get young and Moore in the boat, that's the making of another dominant defensive line

Feel the exact same on James. And we're very similar with Young and Plumlee, just feel from what I know that in the end Mingo won't be in maroon (love to be wrong) Big visit this weekend tho that could shift things in our favor. I also tend to be more conservative in my numbers bc of the changing nature of recruiting.

I think things have been trending up for Mingo in the last couple weeks. I do think we still need to hit a HR on the OV.

I agree. And from what I've seen and heard from others who have OV'd, we will exceed his expectations. Chance to finish strong at the WR position if we could flip Mingo and get Juwan Johnson

Where does Plumlee go if not here?

Right on! This staff knows the recruiting well and are pulling out all the stops. Different way of doing business than we're used to.

UGA is trying to backdoor into Mingo since they had some WRs declare or they know they are going to.
I dont think he will go there because they have shown him they dont really want him he is their backup plan. State coaches came to see him today.
I'd say right now it is between us and UGA for Mingo. I do expect him to visit us OM and UGA thought. I know hes committed to OM but he aint playing for Rich Rod

GA can only offer a shirt. They can't offer a scholarship this year or playing time.

You have the best info on Mingo for sure, from what I've heard he's not real keen on being somebody's backup plan.

I've got some inside at UGA. They're having numbers issues already. They'd have to lose several for something to open up. They're trying to load up on grey/blue shirt guys right now. And that's part of this new split signing date too. Going to see it more and more from the big boys.

Good stuff, thanks! I'd heard he was a baller and wanted a chance to compete for a starting spot no matter where he winds up.I don't ever blame any of these kids for taking these visits. Shoot I would've done it too.

If there was a parlay out there, it'd put some money on it that we sign Plumlee, Young, and James.

I think that's even more of a long shot than the usual 6-1 3-teamer.
