Unexplainable other than the fact that his arm was almost broken in half.

I've seen 3-4 pitchers completely fracture the humerus in MLB. NONE of them have ever come back. Fortunately we caught Woodruff's before it broke in half completely. I really think he will be fine next year. It's basically been a rehab year for him.

Sad thing is, Nick Flair left because he didn't think he would get to play with all these guys coming in. Instead of hiring a hitting coach, Cohen needs to stop messing with people's swings. He also needs to make sure Butch doesn't take all the scholly money on "projects" as pitchers and make sure we go get some hitters. You wanna play the type game I think he wants to play? Start recruiting some guys like ULL has. They hit and they have toughness, one of the things Cohen use to demand of his players.

We're really missing an emotional leader. We got too cocky after last year and our preseason expectations were too high after losing Renfroe, Frazier, Graveman, and Girodo. I think the big reason they hit Mitchell so well early is because of two things 1) Mitchell had too many hanging curve balls and didn't pitch down, 2) he didn't get the low ball strikes that make him effective. Once we saw that in the third and we tied it up, we should have gone to Lindgren immediately to start the bottom of the 3rd. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20 and in baseball each game is a new day. I am optimistic we can give it our all tomorrow. We will more then likely to up against a right handed (their ace) so we need Laster and Lindgren with Holder to close it off. 4-5 runs more then likely wins it tomorrow. Let's hope we have a better approach tomorrow. I am hopefull. Let's win this tomorrow!

IMO, we should start Lindgren tomorrow. He is one of our 3 best pitchers. I was counting Mitchell, along with Holder, but Mitchell is no longer getting it done, and Bracewell's lack of control forced us to use Holder against J State. Too bad we can't use Holder tomorrow-he threw too many pitches against Jackson State, and could damage his arm. I really don't have a lot of confidence in Laster getting it done against this team. He may, but I don't think the odds are in our favor. LA-Lafayette is too good.
