I'll say it again- our losses since the closed door meeting- TWO in which Preston Brown started, one to Daniel Mengden a top 100 MLB draft prospect, one where our catchers couldn't catch the ball, and one where Lindgren didn't get the job done.

We finished the regular season 13-5. I'd say that we turned it around- and if Butch would have pitched a healthy pitcher, it's 15-3. And somehow, I was "wrong".

It's clear, especially with the new balls, that the entire way we do offense has to change. Our swings have to be coached completely, 100% different.

Rouge goes about it oddly but on the swing topic he is dead on. We physically cannot generate power the way most of our players swing. We finish around our body. Heck doesn't, Pirtle doesn't, and the Bash Brothers don't. But most everyone else does. That's coaching. I don't agree with that. They should have even weaker pitching tomorrow than today and we still have Lindgren who is well rested and can go half the game or more if need be. And yes tomorrow if we start getting behind in the 2nd or 3rd inning you DO bring Lindy in but just getting to a tie in the third inning tonight in a game you don't have to win it would not be a smart time to bring him in that early IMO. We can also probably use Holder a little tomorrow if need be and lately Laster has been more effective than Mitchell.

Would like to see if we can get a guy that can bring some heat for a few, then bring in off-speed. Said it b4 and will say it again, they are accustomed to the off-speed stuff now. It won't work unless they are used to seeing heat. The only time they struggled was versus the JSU pitcher who threw off-speed before they had a chance to adjust.

Now, it may be too late. Really think we should have switched things up on them tonight so Ross could have looked like the change-of-pace we needed him to be tomorrow. Now it's probably a lost opportunity to win with pitching, and we'll be forced to hope our bats come alive versus their scrubs or tired arms tomorrow.
