Our team will "cave" under pressure, just like we did against top 10 teams in the regular season and in the regionals.
There's no need to look at what Vandy's pitching situation is, we've already lost. They rolled out good arms tonight, which clearly means they many more such arms and definitely didn't use up their best guys. All hope is lost, may as well name the new coach now
Lol I’m not that dramatic and never said we’d lose. I just wish Henderson had played to win in the eighth and ninth instead of playing to save arms. They didn’t hit Self worth a shit yesterday except for a fluke ball to left. Self has not allowed an earned run since the Kentucky series. He’s dialed in with the cutter and batters aren’t hitting it well. I’m not counting this team out at all.

What was France's pitch count Friday night? Realistically, how much could he give us tomorrow?

Both Gordon and France pitched 35-39 pitches. They should be good to go.

By the way, Alexander missed the bus to the hotel tonight because Henderson had him sitting in the parking lot instead of a seat

I feel bad for Neff though. He basically gave up a triple on what should have been a ground out to SS to a guy hitting .215.

Nice.
No one will be able to convince me that it's smart to basically play him at 3B. His range is limited already, so why make balls up the middle completely impossible now?

It also probably would have been a double had it been played on a real field. Grass would've slowed that ball down, instead it rolled on the carpet all the way to the wall.

Yeah their stadium is BS. We got screwed this year by the construction- I bet we host a regional next year almost on principle alone as long as we are close to hosting.

Yep. Honestly it's not the first time we've had this problem this year.

What sucks is we are calling an incomplete shift which is even worse. In a true pull shift, you bring the second baseman to the third base side of second. Otherwise you are just giving a giant hole up the middle because you really can’t predict where a hitter is going to hit it just that you know it’s going to be hit to that side. By not bringing Stovall around, we literally had a wide gap where if it’s hit up the middle the ball could get all the way to the wall. I don’t care who your shortstop is if you have an incomplete shift the shortstop is going to fail.
