    State vs Oklahoma

    Probable starters:

    Pilk...
    88.1 ip 86 h 42 er 26 bb 92 k
    Era = 4.28
    Whip = 1.27
    K9 = 9.37
    Bb9 = 3.54

    Irvin...
    91.2 ip 68 h 29 er 24 bb 109 k
    Era = 2.85
    Whip = 1.01
    K9 = 10.70
    Bb9 = 2.36

    Notable Oklahoma hitters...

    Steele walker - L (of) = .352/.441/.606
    Murray - R (of) = .293/.396/.553
    Harris - R (if/of) = .277/.436/.451

    Those are their 3 guys with an ops over .800

    ETA... worth noting that pilk was unhittable in OOC games. Hopefully that continues Friday

    Walker and Murray are both hurt and may not play.

    Irvin is solid. If he's on, we'll struggle to score.

    Yes. Murray is Kyler Murray

    Obviously- Pilk needs to give us his best outing of the year. I hope he's on; I really hope our bats are hot.

    Walker is Steele walker btw... I listed him by first name. Would be huge if they are missing top 2 ops guys

    Is Irvin a RHP or LHP? Wouldn't we prefer RHP's to keep Jake on the left side?

    Yes and with Westburg out, Hatcher will be our DH.

    When will Westburg be back? I thought I heard Hendo say he'd be back in time for the regional.

    He said today, that he hasn't been 100% since UF. I think it's safe to assume Foscue will be at 3B with Hatcher as DH.

    Both guys are expected to play. We need to be really smart/careful pitching to Steele Walker. He's the one guy you can't let beat you.

    Well. Yeah that means Hatcher will more than likely be DH.

    OUs soft underbelly is that after Irvin they don't have much, that's why they are a #3 seed.

    With Irvin in the game they are like a #1 seed.

    I say we walk Steel 4/5 times and call it a day. But Pilk is liable to have bases loaded in the first inning when facing Walker in the first. He has to be crisp to manage his Walker ABs

    If pilk can have a big day I like where we are at. Should have an excellent shot at winning the first two. Always fun playing some quality teams we haven’t seen in a while. Would be big for the program to make another super despite the awkward season. These guys deserve a pay on the back overcoming all of the coaching issues.

    You can’t just walk Steele because Kyler Murray may be the most talented player in America. He is raw, but can absolutely hurt you

    A guy who may be the most talented baseball player in America hit .290? And is playing college baseball?

    I haven't seen the guy play, but if that is true OK must not develop players worth crap.

    Absolutely. Mize a much better player as are many others, but Kyler hasn't played a ton of baseball over the past 3 years & has enormous tools.

    I said "talented", not best. He's a wild card with the ceiling of Andrew McCutchen
