I wonder if it was just a planned off day?

Probably a good thing. MS was not gonna challenge Swanson up and in with another fastball... would have been sliders

He smashed that slider last night, granted it was off AJ Cole, but still.

That was nice. I still wanna see him hit some non-hung sliders. I like where he is so far though, except for no walks

To me, Albies plate discipline is equivalent to Mangum’s. But it was good to see him battle in that last AB last night and get a double.

That lineup isn't too bad. Braves just need some pitchers to get it together and they could make the Wildcard maybe especially if you add Acuna to the lineup.

Hopefully we can continue to get production from Flaherty and Stewart till camargo and Suzuki/flowers are healthy. I am getting interested in what we do once acuna is up with Markakis and tucker. Really wish one of them were RH

Thats the only pitch he has been hitting granted they were at ribcage level on the outer edge of the plate. He has struckout on every other pitch.

We need to push for the NL to have a DH. It needs to happen.

Like I stated he is killing it with those high outside pitches. What I like that he is doing is with his swing. It is a more level swing. On his popups he goes back to his golf swing. Oh Yeah the Starters better start eating up more innings otherwise we won't have a Bullpen by May.

That actually almost happened the other day. Kershaw had 80ish pitches after the 5th and was batting. If the hitter in front of him had reached then they would have had 2 men on with 1 out down by 1. Kershaw ended up getting a hit and tying the game but most pitchers look like I would trying to hit MLB pitching.

From Braves twitter:
The #Braves today selected the contract of Luke Jackson from Triple-A Gwinnett and designated C Chris Stewart for assignment. Jackson will wear No. 64.

I would rather have the DH because: What if the pitcher gets HBP and gets seriously hurt?
What if he trips running to first base and breaks a bone? How about he slides into home and collides with the catcher? I would just rather get rid of the pitcher hitting all together.

I have no problem with the DH in AL as it differentiates the leagues.
