KY has a pitching staff that rivals their basketball team.....6'11" / 6'9" / 6'7 / 6'5" and they rip the cover off the ball with Luke Becker and Tristan Pompey. Every SEC team has at least 2 or more pitchers as good as Pilkington. We may be lucky to win 3-5 SEC games this year. This is so sad. The once great SEC program waddling in the bottom of the barrel. And Vandy lost all 3 of their games in Houston Classic where we won all 3. Go figure!
I'm not sure what the infatuation is with some MSU fans and the height of our players is. Kentucky got ripped this weekend by Arkansas. You don't want tall middle infielders usually unless it's an exception like a Cal Ripken. Stovall and Skelton are really the only players that I would consider short for their position- and I can certainly live with a second baseman being 5'8".

If you look up the height and weight of our players I think you would find that this is more perception than reality. And again- freshmen are not going to be as developed and filled out as another teams juniors and seniors.
