Historically there has not been a good town and gown relationship with Starkville. That is slowly changing but historically Starkville has basically resented the college. It's stupid on Starkville's part. Starkville without MSU is Aberdeen.
Yeah. probably one of the most ridiculous things about Starkville.
I think playing football games on campus rather than in Jackson has made a huge difference because so many alumni now have condos & 2nd homes in Starkville, which has changed the voter base
