JB was awesome today. If he could learn another secondary pitch like say a change up to go with his 12/6 curve and fastball he could be a great Saturday starter.

If things work out like I hope- he will be a badass midweek starter. However things rarely work out how I would like them to.

(1) Lovelady was a warrior and he kept the pitching staff (except Gordon) level headed
(2) Cody Brown was clutch and offensive MVP
(3) Gridley was great defensively throughout and was great batting until USM games
(4) Pilk was our ace stopper when we needed him
(5) Billingsley saved his best game for a great moment
(6) Price was a warrior to come back when coach thought he could not
(7) Self is becoming big time

Sigh. No. Plumlee needs to stay in the pen and piggyback McQuary. We go with McQuary 3-5 depending on how wild he is, and then bring in Plumlee. That allows us to rest Price and Self. We throw Pilkington against Poche and hope for the best. And then hope Billingsley stays hot and we outslug them.

It may not work but shit- we're a short handed team going on the road and we have to be a little unconventional to give us a better chance sometimes.

Gotta give it to the OM tv crew. They've been pretty dang professional. No way I would be this cheery calling OM winning a regional

I have heard Cross call a bunch of our games and he has been extremely good and professional every time.
