Exactly what we want. Stay very close and hopefully both teams burn a lot of arms
-
Both pitchers looking sharp in the second inning though.
-
2-1 still after 2
Both pitchers over 30 pitches. Get to 50 and they're both pretty much burnt. Need some offense these next few innings
-
2-2
USA pitcher up to 47 pitches. USM WITH 2 on and 1 out. Bullpen is busy
-
USM back up 3-2, man on 3rd w/2 outs
-
3-2 USM headed to b3
USA pitcher at 50+ pitches
-
Both of these teams are going to have to use their bullpens unless their starters get in a groove and start having quick innings.
-
3 innings complete
3-2 USM
USM starter - 45 pitches
USA starter - 54 pitches

USA bringing in new pitcher (Zack Melton?)
-
USM down in order in the t4, 10 pitches
USM 3 USA 2
headed to b4
-
A year after 2016 National Championship Series- East Carolina is done and Arizona is down 9 to Sam Houston State
Bulldogs - minus a complete pitching staff - still ALIVE!
-
Through 4 innings
3-2 USM
USM starter looking sharp now, only 50-55 pitches through 4. Not what we wanted, but it's early

Thought Price deserved better. Really two cheap hits. I personally would have never pulled him. Self hasn't been his strike throwing self over his last 3 appearances

I think he's pressing Bc he no longer has Price behind him. It's a lot of pressure for a Freshman to know he's the last line of defense. Just my opinion

And he's a freshman and needs to develop another secondary pitch to go with his cutter. He will do that in the offseason I think and will come back even more dominant next year.

Hanging curve hit out by USM. 4-2
Looking like we'll play USA this evening. Still several innings left, but USM looks to be the much better team
