The 2 game set in the midweek really bit us in the ass this week. We've just got nobody to turn to that has a fresh arm.

Self's not hurting us. What's hurting us is leaving Mangum in. He clearly doesn't have it today. Not a SEC starter. Self has nothing to do with it...he can pitch today. He should probably be our Sunday guy...so if that's what your saying I agree

I said last night that once mangum was hit by pitch that self couldn't be used. Have to have self ready to go today.

Self should be our Sunday starter. Put Barton in Self's setup role

Why not just start Jolly? Mangum is not a SEC rotation guy. Hell, let him start midweek and give Sunday to Ashcraft or McQuary...ya know, a pitcher

I didn't like it. Their guy had really high pitch count after 1 and we put him right back on schedule

Mangum's role should be like the 9th last night or midweek starter

Yep

We basically just threw away a series by starting a CF on Sunday. And this guy would walk a bunch of hitters if we'd give him a chance, but nope...gotta swing at every damn thing

Stovall is one hell of a defender at 2b

This has been covered ad nauseum, but if Mangum is going to help us at all on the mound he has to be a starter for us. And we need that help on the weekend way more than the midweek (especially from here on out). That doesn't mean leaving him in too long wasn't a mistake, but we can't afford to not have all hands on deck on the weekends with our current pitching situation.

So start him midweek. Last night was over... just needed a pitcher to record some outs. In the 9th of a game over, mangum can pitch there and Poole can play cf

Cody brown is turning in a heck of a senior year

Do we have a club team where we can hold open tryouts like Virginia did in 2015?

Alexander is just awful right now. Good grief. Just give him the take sign and hope for a walk
