Miles called their bluff and played the starter but they weren't bluffing. Any truth to this anyone? That was the beginning of the end for Miles. He had the better team that year and shit the bed. Never fully recovered from it.
I was watching that game in a bar in Dallas. Most of the crowd was pulling for LSU. By the 3rd quarter no one could believe Les didn't pull Jefferson and put in Jarrett Lee. Even the group of black guys next to us were yelling "put the white dude in!"
