    Well Ado and Peters aren't playing. Datcher was sort of a project. We knew Carter needed time to get stronger. There were red flags with Keglar. I like him, he just has to keep maturing and working. Ol Blue warned everyone about Wright. Herard is probably the early disappointment for me. He looks 6'9 to me, not 6'11 and his offensive game is not as refined as I hoped.

    Bottom line... Howland is a GREAT recruiter and an avg on the floor coach. If he was anything more he would be at a blue blood.. Not at State. Having said that I think he will get us to the place where we are a tourney team on a semi regular basis.

    We have to give the guy a little bit of a break. He lost it best player. Our problems are not as much coaching as you think. I mean seriously think about this.. What is our glaring problems... We have no solid player inside and no one to dribble penetrate. That's stuff that can be fixed by 1)getting a true big man and 2) allow Peters to develop and watch Nick spoon and then u will see better dribble penetration. Give it time guys.

    He did make those final fours playing bruising defense (not allowed anymore) and slow paced offense (we try to get quick shots). Is this concerning to you at all? I'm not freaking out and think howland will be successful,but we aren't using the formula howland rose to success with

    I think Howland is still walking on eggshells since UCLA up and fired him right after he won the Pac-12 and had the #1 class in the country.

    Oh I agree about his pedigree and I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but this is the worst team on our schedule we are playing against.
