Just looked at Memphis's schedule and record....
The most runs they have given up on the season in 1 game, is 9. Tonight we scored 12 on one of their better pitchers.
We've got a hell of a team guys. This could be a special season finish.

Just heard the post game with Cohen and he said he believes E Mitchell has a bright future in front of him. Sounds to me like this was his' last chance for us.

Probably so. What I hate about it is we never gave him shot as a reliever. Not saying it would've worked, but it couldve been his niche.

I've been wondering the same thing, 7. When you have a head case that struggles starting, why not give him a chance in shorter outings? His stuff is so nasty that he could be absolutely dominant for one inning at a time.

Yep, I've been asking that same question for weeks. Seems that if we only asked him to get us 3 outs, he could focus a little better and possibly get the job done. Power thrower, nasty stuff...sounds like a closer or set up man.

I understand he never got the shot- well this year as a reliever- we tried that before and it didn't work. But let's be honest, as a reliever you have to throw strikes. Would you bring that guy in w two runners on? Hell no. two batters later he's walked one in. So as a reliever you can bring him in to start an inning. That's not different than starting a game. No one on. No one out. Nasty stuff but he can't hit a bull in the ass w a quilt. He's had plenty of opportunities to prove himself in three years, it's a shame it didn't work out.
