And they were still getting 4 and 5 star guys during their probation period.. ( because they are USC and there are an abundance of those players in Cali.) UMiss isn't USC and won't be drawing in out of state talent like they have the last few years..
Again if UMiss gets USCe sanctions it's going to be devastating.
USC also had instability at Head Coach, with one being Lane Kiffin and the other an alcoholic. In those 7 years you mentioned, USC's recruiting on fell out of the Top 10 one season and that was at #13. They have more of leadership problem at USC rather than reeling from sanctions.
