There is no way South Carolina will get the #1 or #2 overall seed, and there may not be a chance for us. Conference tournaments don't really change seeding much; the only thing they really change is who gets the automatic bids and in rare cases, an at-large bid.
That said, I don't think anyone hopes we go 2 and out, just that if we do, it's not a big deal. I think most want us to play games as normal and try to win without over-exerting our pitchers.
Oh Good Lord, so us, Florida or Texas A&M. Point is, there is seeding to play for. How are you going to distinguish between the 3 of us? Hoover is how.
We should not be overextending our pitchers anyway. Even in Omaha.
