I hope you finish ahead of Trump.

I would argue, regardless of that stupid ass picture he commented on, there are some people in this world that identify as a different gender than God gave them. You have probably seen some out somewhere and they just looked like a normal woman, but in reality they had a penis. So, when this person goes to the restroom, looking exactly like any other woman, you want them to go into the men's room? Where is that common sense? It's a Flippin restroom. If you are worried about someone attacking your 4 year old girl, take her in the restroom with you.

I mean come on people. As a guy, when was the last time any one of us ever saw anything questionable in the peeping tom/molestation realm go on in the restroom. There are 300 million people in this country. At any given moment chances are something terrible is happening somewhere at almost every minute of the day. Combo that with 24 hr news networks and we have to hear this shit all the time. Stop being pink skirt wearing bitches and handle your own shit. Again, if you are scared what your daughter is going to interact with in the restroom, take her into the men's room with you, like I do with my 2.5 year old daughter.
Common sense, hell I laugh at some people's common sense. By the way, nothing is stopping a serial child molester from dressing up convincingly and doing bad shit before this law was passed. Just a made up fear. Chears to all the weak minded sheep.

Trump represents literally nothing about the right. Not one thing. Pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-entitlements, pro-gay marriage, pro-amnesty....the list goes on and on. He's not about reducing the size and scope of government; he wants to run big government smarter, i.e. "We're going to make better deals."

I think the point being made by the objectors is not so much about the people who discreetly go about living their delusions and nobody knows the difference. It's about two other groups. One, the criminal class - the people who will use and are already using these laws with the intent of committing a sexual crime. The fact that it is a tiny percentage is hardly the issue; it's the idea of creating an opening for them that seems absurd and misguided. The second group is the activist class, where it's not about being discreet at all, but about making a statement. What boat can I rock, and who can I sue, and what network can I get featured on, for the sake of proving my activist credentials?

So to be fair, objections here aren't about heartlessly targeting the sadly deluded and confused souls who quietly pretend that reality isn't what it is. It is about the other ramifications, risks, and reality-show mayhem that follows from society's choice to abandon reality and allow people to re-define reality based on their whim.

    GTHOM.

If someone chops their penis off to steal a peek in the women's restroom, they're mental and a law isn't going to stop them. IOW, I don't think people are actually having sex changes just to trick the system or rock the boat. "Ha ha. I got you! Chopped my penis off and they let me right in the girls restroom at the mall!!!"

Precisely. It's like gun-free zones. They don't do anything to keep bad guys from doing bad things. That's why I don't understand the safety angle in this. Law is not going to keep a perv from being a perv or prevent someone from abducting someone in the bathroom. What it will do is punish folks when they do bad things. Pretty sure we have law on the books that do that regardless of who is committing the crime.

I'm not saying that the big risk is that people are mutilating themselves to get access. I'm saying there is a non-zero risk of increased danger to innocent people from laws allowing unfettered access to bathrooms and locker rooms based on gender "self-identity," which is a claim that doesn't require surgery or alternate clothing, etc. at all.

It seems clear to me that laws like this certainly make it possible for any predator to simply claim whatever they want and have legal access to places they didn't before, and in fact feel inspired (and even encouraged by the activist class) to try it out for the sake of pushing that envelope.

    Sorry if I was unclear.

First, Schilling is just a moron regardless of his political views. He isn't some martyr to anyone's cause, he's a guy that used to throw a baseball really well and hasn't done anything near as well since(Rhode Island would like their $75M back I am sure).

He isn't some outspoken political analyst or columnist, he's just a guy that can't follow the rules at your office. That guy you know that got fired a few years back for always having bikini pics up as his wall paper - that's Schilling. He's a 50 year old man that gets his rocks off stirring up shit on twitter and facebook. Let's think about that for a minute. . .a fifty year old internet troll.

Liberal or conservative, I can see how a sports media outlet wouldn't want overly out spoken person on their network. He is there to talk baseball, anything else is a distraction. I'm sure if back in the day, if Dan Rather was a serious UFO conspiracy theorist, NBC wouldn't want him writing a book about it. You can cry foul all you want, but no one is making these people take jobs in the media. It's part of the gig. I work in IT. . .I accept the fact I can't show up to work on casual friday rocking an Anonymous t-shirt.

And really, the bathroom stuff is absurd either direction. Does anyone think a bunch of rapist and child predators saw the law in NC pass and went "well, shit, there goes that plan." They'll assault or rape but they won't break a law that is nay impossible to enforce? It's stupid. You can't say this law will protect women and children and then banning guns won't protect anyone - it's completely faulty logic. If someone is going to shoot someone regardless of gun laws - they'll cross dress to get in the wrong bathroom too.

It boggles my mind that in 2016 we will waste tax money on this crap but won't address that trying to find a decent school for my kid involves 3 city maps, a few waiting lists and lighting prayer candles. No, we spend it on this petty crap and then what is left we give to people who don't work so they can have better insurance than I do.

You do realize that the reason that you have to do all that work to look for a decent school for your children and go to work only to have everything taken from you and given to someone sitting on their ass is because of the same exact people that think it's ok for a man to use the same restroom as women and girls. At some point it has to be stopped. No one in their right mind thinks this is ok, but they are too scared to say anything because of politics.

I can't think of a single professional organization that would not fire a fellow professional for posting such vulgar nonsense under his own name. Some people need a new hero. This clown is not qualified. for the role.

Drunk driving is a serious issue and likely many posters have friends or acquaintances that have been affected by it. I definitely worry about drunk drivers. Look at the stats. What are you saying? Being abducted by a transgendered person in a public restroom is as big of a risk as being hit by a drunk driver? That's not even a stretch. That's insane.

Forget about the drunk driving and and answer this simple question. Do you think a grown man should be able to use the same restroom as women and young girls? Don't bullshit around the answer, yes or no?

No. Follow your parts. If there's going to be a rule, that's the only way to be objective about it.

Now if you want to ask me if I would get bent out or shape if I found out transgendered people were pissing and shitting in bathrooms opposite of their genitalia, no I'm not. Why? 1) I'm probably not going to notice 2) they are going to relieve themselves and walk out like everyone else does.

Say there is a law. How do we enforce it? ID at the door? Crotch pats? I'm against stupid laws that can't be enforced and don't actually do anything to make society safer or more productive. It's a waste of time, effort, and money. We've got better things to worry about. Debt. Terrorism. Unemployment. Drunk drivers. Government waste. Entitlements funding or reform. Where people shit should be wayyyyyy down on our lists.

You are never going to fix any of those important issues if you are in any way in favor of putting people in government that think it's ok for men to use women's bathrooms. That's my point. These issues go hand in hand. If an idiot thinks a man can go in a woman's bathroom freely, they are also going to be in favor of giving all of your earned money to people that choose not to work, eliminating Christianity from American life, importing muslims into our country by the millions, making sure our country's military is weakened tremendously, forcing politically correct speech and thoughts down our throats, etc, etc... Every insane thing you can think of is being turned into law by these political nuts, if you stand by any of it, then you get what you deserve. And you enforce the law by having the women call the police and the piece of garbage in the bathroom goes away for many years.

Silly question. Do we enforce robbery laws by placing a cop on every doorstep? Do we enforce speeding laws by putting a cop on every street?
