Someone asked him about it when that rumor first came out, and here is what I remember about his response.....

His initial response was that he found it hard to believe that they could be that stupid and he basically said he didn't buy it (basically the exact same thought process that I had when C34 initially posted the rumor). Then, a few days later he posted that he had spoken to someone that said they were also hearing that the NCAA had gotten their hands on a burner phone......basically saying that this rumor was also circulating through some pretty well connected circles and not just on the message boards.

Again, I am going from memory, so if someone else remembers it differently or if he has given any updates on the topic, feel free to weigh in.

Wasn't this over with around a year ago? It is very interesting that the person is falling on the sword when no one was even talking about it. There wasn't any reason to bring it back up. It would be like if Dak apologized for the DUI again next year. Why bring it back up?
