I don't think the punt was the problem, it's playing soft prevent against a team that has nothing to lose. You ride the horse that got you there, play your base defense and make them beat you, not give a ten yard cushion, lay down till they reach the red zone, and then try and stop them.

You cant play not to lose....and rely on your defense time aftger time after time after time.

You can't recruit like we've been doing either and then not play the actual best people.

Again I say this- we have a potential NFL type talent at QB and a coach that has no clue how to use him. We are constantly having to play young QB's before they are ready and it is dramatically limiting us on offense. Of course our o-line recruiting has been so gross it doesn't really matter who the QB is or waht we are running. Our WR's can't catch anything other than a screen- which we never run. And now we have some unexplainable RB rotation that makes no sense at any level of football. It's just completely incompetent on so many levels.

Our defense is inconsistent- and for the love of God we can not play zone. We let a freaking former DB carve us up like Joe Montana.

Bell should be benched as the place kicker. MOST people- of course those with some semblence of a football IQ- thought that Evan Sobiesk would be the place kicker and Bell would do kick offs. But for some God unknown reason our coaches just hype the hell out of Bell- I have doubts that Morten Andersen in his prime could hit a 65 yarder much less Bell- when we probably have someone better on the bench. Just keep Bell as a kickoff guy and then let him punt next year. If he can punt of course.

Exactly- we pinned them at the 10. You can't ask much more than that. But it's like the guys doing the Alabama game said- you can not play zone against an offense like that.
