Malik Newman said the "University of Mississippi State" when he committed but I think he was nervous & just said it by mistake..don't think he did that on purpose. Not sure if that's what you were referring to?

Ole Miss media has successfully stirred the pot and MSU fans did what they hoped and melted down. I don't understand how mid week we all the sudden aren't in the running for anyone anymore. Again, could end up being wrong, but just sounds like a bunch of smoke to me.

Apparently MSU media are in on the conspiracy to cause MSU fans to meltdown as well.

Not really. I don't want our website guys acting like the Bears acting like everything is cake and candy but damn sometimes Rosie just needs to learn when to shut up and let the cards fall before saying somethings. His whole pat myself on the back post regarding AJ and getting him invited to the UA Allstar game was a bit much imo. Why post that now? Not trying to pile on ole Rosie but some things just need to be held until after NSD before stroking egos. the 247 guys seem to be laying low here lately. Not sure how to take that.

Not really. I don't want our website guys acting like the Bears acting like everything is cake and candy but damn sometimes Rosie just needs to learn when to shut up and let the cards fall before saying somethings. His whole pat myself on the back post regarding AJ and getting him invited to the UA Allstar game was a bit much imo. Why post that now? Here is how I take it, when the staff or the player asks Paul to sit on something, he sits on it. How many commit articles in the past has he written days prior and posts it right when the announcement is made. Even on kids that were a surprise committing right then. I think he has the best access to the staff on info and largely is because he is a respected straight shooter. I have no idea if he is sitting on a bunch of info that is positive or negative for us right now. But I'm willing to bet there are several things he is keeping quite on.

Somebody is getting played, that's for sure. Can't believe our coaches are that naive. I think it's a combination of UM "media" liking to pump sunshine, recruits giving Rosie bad info to make him look bad because he annoys the shit out of them. I think we'll definitely have some downside surprises because that's just the way things go, but the coaches must be pretty damn sure to not be bringing in any backups. If UM has convinced a lot of MSU recruits to lie to the MSU Staff about where they're going to leave the school in the lurch on signing day, the rivalry is about to get a lot nastier.

Rosebowl is saying on the Boneyard today that AJ Brown's father met with our staff yesterday, but AJ did not. Said AJ may visit with our staff today. Seems odd, and I'm curious if Rosebowl has correct info.

He still maintains that Alabama is the team to beat. Hopefully he is wrong

Yep, Rosebowl is the worst, and Paul and Robbie apparently have maybe some guarded optimism (though I'm not currently a paying member on either site). Of course then we also have a lot of longtime MSU posters here on this board that are VERY doom and gloom. So I am personally not melting down YET but I can understand why some have been based on the available information outlets. I still don't understand why some here feel they HAVE to post their rants on a public MSU forum though a few days ahead of signing day. One, that is not helping with any prospects that are still undecided and two, there will be plenty of time for that after signing day.

As has been said REPEATEDLY, Rosebowl is about Rosebowl and his own "street cred" first and foremost and if it helps MSU that's fine but he is not and never will be a "do no harm" to MSU type guy.

He's still one pessimistic guy today. Says "it would be unbelievable if MSU finishes in the top 30".

Those expectations bother me after how far our program has come.

That being said though, I trust what IYOK and ED Recruiting are saying.

What does somewhat bother me though, is that Rosey seems to be getting info on AJ quicker than other sites.
