I said it's been improving but I want it like LSU rare. They don't lose many. And screw UNM. I want them at state. I know. I know. Only one school in the state of LA.

I know we won't lose them all, but like I said, I'm being greedy. And if we want to climb the ladder, we better be landing the majority, especially since Mullen puts an emphasis on in-state guys. We just don't recruit nationally like others.

We can start naming names. there has been a ton of talent make it out of Louisiana the last 3-4 years

I bet LSU got pretty much who they wanted though. That's what I mean. Keeping who you want! Sure, they missed on Dak and couple others, but they weren't top priorities at the time either(I'm thinking who we got out of LA, not other teams).

You don't know what you are talking about. Louisiana Top 10 players last year 3 went out of state, 5 year before, 3 year before that, 4 in 2012 including the Top 3 players. Should we go on? And that's just in the Top 10.

I get to where I hate recruiting more every year. You've got all of this mess going on with OM and MAYBE they will get something from the NCAA on all of it but who knows. Then you've got a deal like Davis where he obviously wants to go to MSU but "deals" I'm sure are in place that are going to prevent that. And you see cases like his most every year. The whole process seemingly gets more disgusting every year.
ETA: And the last time a guy really wanted to come to MSU but wasn't allowed to he won a Heisman Trophy and a NC for Auburn.

Maybe in 2008.
The numbers just don't support what you are saying any more. There is no fence around pulling elite talent out of Louisiana. LSU gets a lot of talent in a talent-rich state. For sure. But nowhere in the country does a better job of keeping home grown talent in state than Mississippi does. It's to the point Bama is the only school still spending significant effort here chasing the elites.

I stand corrected. More perception than reality then. But to my other point, with the way we recruit so close to home we can't afford to lose our best players in our backyard and expect to gain ground on our conference elite.
Apologies for ranting last night folks. Weak moment I guess

Now back to what's important... Did we receive any good news from our weekend or other schools'?

Any update from this weekend? Especially on Reese and Cushenberry. Those are 2 OL we could certainly use. Also notice that Aaron Dowdell is coming next weekend. We have a legit change at him?

We have to wait and see if FSU brings Reese in for OV next weekend. I think we are in good position as long as FSU doesn't push for him.

Given the results with Davis and Lashley a while back, maybe Mullen should give it 24 hours before tweeting.

FSU pushed Reese back to their last weekend. That usually means he is not a priority.

Yep. They have 2 OL spots left & they have 2 guys ahead of Reese they feel pretty confident in (Landon Dickerson & Jauan Williams). If they miss on 1 of those guys then he'd be next. Problem is I don't think those guys decide until Signing Day & I don't believe Reese will wait it out that long.
