I remember Chris Spencer back in the day being recruited by Miss State and Ole Miss. His mother said that JWS offered to pay off their home and buy them a car. His dad said the JWS offered him a job for life but he went to Ole Miss. He was either the biggest dumb ass in the world or Ole Miss made a better offer.
Friends with Chris since middle school. He never wanted to go to State. Nicest guy in the world with the coolest little kids. Sure he took some kick backs but it wasn't a bidding war.
