I'll go with Justin Malone at right guard. Although he played a good bit last year as a redshirt freshman, he's the least experienced on the O line so hopefully he will take a big step forward. Solid play from the O line will go a long way to a successful season.

Nick Griffin. With all the depth and the injury questions, I believe he will be a pleasant surprise. Guess I am pulling for him also.

I am gonna have to go with Chappelle. There are a lot of names that came to mind, but then I thought about it and they wouldn't really be a "surprise," just more of confirmation of their hype.

I think Bohanna plays a lot more but not sure he will get enough snaps to make a huge difference.. we have Sick depth at LB..

Shump will be in the NFL before his fifth year. That's why they're going to play him this year. Well, that, and the fact that he looks damn strong.

I think Fred Ross is going to be a starter by the end of the year. Obviously, that means he's going to play very, very well.

I bet Shump would. Not his freshman year, but at some point in his career.

Not sure how big a surprise it would be. But I am going with Quay
I think the light comes on for him

I think Quay is going to turn it on this year too. I think it's going to take game reps, but I see him being destructive this year if he can just keep the shenanigans to a minimum off the field.

Fred ross and quay the beast evans. Quay is our best defensive lineman right now. If he plays a bunch, that will show.

I agree .. if he can have a couple of good games early where he is a factor I think it snowballs for him for a possible big year..

Defense - Autry, I think he picks up where he left off last year and is a terror in the backfield all year. Look for double digit sacks and several game changing plays

Offense - Malcolm Johnson, finally healthy and the starter, he is going to be Russell's go to guy, creating mismatches all over the field and being a huge target in the red zone.
