I gotta go with Matt Wells, I really can't wait to see his speed utilized in this system.

Brandon Holloway. First skill player taken from MSU after their Junior YEAR.

I am going with Ced Jiles and Nelson Adams. I'd also like to think Quay will, but anything he does on the field doesn't surprise me. Guy is talented.
-
Christian Holmes - I think they will use him the passing game in the red zone.
Derrick Milton - I know I'm in the minority here but he has the best combination of quickness and vision and speed. That one fumble against LSU last yr is all anyone remembers. Love some J-Rob too.

Milton is 5th on the depth chart right now- he better make a move soon

JRob has the best vision on the team IMO and why he's going to separate himself from Griffin IMO. With our inside OL, I expect him to rip off some big runs once be gets to the 2nd level.

I dont think there has ever been any doubt of this by most of us. After last year, the bowl game, and then his 1st carry in the Spring Game was a 40 yd TD- people like me are wondering if he will play as much as he should.

If they RS Shumpert with as many RBS' as we have he must be damn good. That fifth year is so valuable compared to the true freshman year. Physically it's like a totally different person/ football player.

last I heard- it doesnt look like Shump is going to RS. That obviously means they intend to play him and that leaves somebody out

I'm going with Kendrick Market. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Solid at tackling, has a nose for the ball. Kinda reminds me of a bigger version of Broomfield. Not sure he'll become the starter at safety, but he'll see significant PT and be a force on Special Teams.

To wade into the RB discussion, if it were up to me, we'd redshirt Shumpert regardless. The only way I wouldn't is if he's the 2nd coming of Adrian Peterson and becomes a clear #1 or #2 on the depth chart. But I don't think he'll pass J-Rob and he may not pass Griffin. To me, that makes it an easy decision to redshirt him.
As for Milton, I'm in the group that says he's good, but he's not an SEC starter. Quality backup is his ceiling. I wouldn't be surprised if he transfers after the season. Then aGAIN, he may stick around. Perk graduates and Griffin will be a senior. He could be a "good attrition" candidate. It'll be really interesting to see what happens at RB after this season.

This.
I am expecting very good things out of him.

The running back depth next year has the potential to be the best we've ever seen at State. Griffin, JRob, Milton, Shumpert, Williams, and Lee. I'm going out on a limb here by saying this, but I think we finally have that LSU/Alabama type depth at RB.

Until we have a Lacy and a Yeldon, no we don't have Bama depth at RB. None of our guys would start at Bama. Bama is just so elite it is ridiculous.
