To the one that's not much different?

I'd rather find out that Nike licensing BS doesn't apply to utilities. Let's put the Cascading interlocking MSU on it, even if we gotta do the Ballard one.

Apparently we were too cheap to pay for it ourselves. A donor gave the money is my understanding. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

I think we're too damn stubborn and the Nike holding it hostage thing is another lame excuse from our AD.

You know- just like how our players all "really like" the hideous uniforms in whatever sport and find them more comfortable than the ones that the fans like.

The AD wants M-State to be our "brand"- screw what the fans and alumni like. Nevermind that we STILL get confused for Ole Miss and Michigan State.

I mean, how much is Nike really making off of the interlocking MSU logo right now? I bet we could get it back for a fairly reasonable price.

I like the modern M State logo. And I don't see the interlocking logo having and anti-confusion properties over Northern Miss or other schools.

Understand that painting a water tank is not cheap. Probably $125,000 to paint a tank when needed. Might could do it substantially cheaper if you are only repainting the logo. I've only dealt with painting entire tanks, not just a logo.

Todd we get confused for Ole Miss with whatever logo we have and Michgan State doesn't even use a logo similar to ours. Adidas and our athletic dept have done a good job of branding the M State logo and it's here to stay it appears. I like the interlocking MSU logo too but there are others, including me that like the MState one. It looks good on the helmet. It takes up more of midfield, it stands out better on apparel. I just don't get the constant bitching about it when there is not a thing we can do about it. We have more apparel to buy as fans now from Adidas than we ever sniffed with Nike and I was in the Lodge Friday and saw some nike apparel with the MState logo on it and you know what? The Adidas stuff was nicer.

Agreed -- I actually like the new M State logo better than the interlocking one.

I do like the Adidas fan apparel. We've got better fan stuff now than we've ever had before.

And frankly, for me anyway, I think Adidas branding even works for Adidas. When I'm shopping for workout gear and whatnot, I give Adidas stuff an extra look whereas before, I would have paid it no attention.

I like the M-State logo better than the interlocking MSU too. I wouldn't have even noticed that the logo on the water tank was different until someone pointed it out. I always thought the interlocking MSU looked highschoolish. As a point of reference, I am 50, so I had a lot of history with the interlocking MSU than the M- State.

I agree. I try to buy Adidas whenever possible. I like their stuff and I appreciate them making State a priority. Everything they do isn't perfect but I would much rather be a priority for Adidas than be a Nike school and have a co-op student from Oregon be over our account.
