Silkwood has been called for this about a half a dozen times this year: the pitcher's trailing foot has to remain in contact with the ground until after she releases the ball. An illegal pitch works like a balk sort of, can nullify a strike out or a put out. Silkwood has a jump in her pitching motion that Vann will need to work on in the off-season. There has probably been at least 2 dozen or more pitches she has thrown that I have seen that haven't been called. It is pretty ticky-tack to say the least.
