Ray didn't leave the program in shambles. That was Rick Stansbury that left the program in shambles. Rick Ray has made the program presentable once again. Three years ago, no credible coach would have touched this job with a 10 foot pole. Rick Ray was hired to be the fall guy that cleans the program up for the next coach. Rick Ray has made this a program that can now possibly lure a coach the caliber of Ben Howland. Three years ago, Ben Howland would not have given a second thought at this job.
