Agreed, like someone else said (I think msstate7) we don't really have a top MLB prospect on the team right now that's playing well. Collins and Humphries might be the closest we have but one is not playing and the other hasn't been playing well at all. Just not much star material on this team. Nothing like we had with Renfroe, Frazier, Stratton, Lindgren, Holder etc.

Yep, in a way Ron Polk was too laid back and hands off with what was going on. Cohen seems to be way too much the other way in trying to meddle in every thing with every at bat. Is there no happy medium some where?

Realizing this early on helps to be realistic. That said, sexton and Tatum are fine...brown is decent...but a bad bullpen erases all good feelings.

yea, I would have a hard time arguing against that comparison. "the recruiter" is starting to develop here on the diamond in Starkville.

there's just no excuse for us playing like this though. when it comes to college athletics , no other sport do we have more of an advantage. and we can't get extra base hits against a swac team at home . and we lose to swac teams now and we can't do shit against other team with a pulse.

we suck. and those who think everything is ok, well you suck too.

Better watch out. Engie will be all over you for making such comments. He's been awfully quiet this weekend. Guess he's been too busy intently searching the Internet, for a single instance someone bunted a home run, so he can argue for Cohens idiotic hitting approach.

That's what I don't understand. I read about we've been in the top 10 recruiting for the past several years, and yet, we play like this. Amazing-something is obviously wrong when you bring in top talent and can't win.
