I hope this team steps up and becomes elite --- but it's the largest contingent of unknown we've had since the turnaround IMO.
2 years ago, alot of the unknown pieces worked out positively. Last year, almost everything went negatively. As long as this year is somewhere in the middle, we should be really good. If it goes like last year did, we could struggle to win 40.
40 overall should be our floor going forward IMO...

The OF will have a rotation. At least 6 players will rotate and of course DH too. Again, depends on opposing pitcher. But Hump and Collins will hit every game in some capacity. We could have 3 LH hitters in the OF or 3 RH hitters. Just depends.

Definitely. It's going to be kind of a crapshoot from the start. I just hope we don't roll snake eyes but it should be a fun season. In Cohen we trust.

I think a lot of our season hinges on if one of the sophomores- Hudson, Sexton, Tatum, or if the freshman Jesse McCord can step up and be a quality starter. If they can't we're going to have to piece the staff together- but at least it will be pieced together with veterans like Fitts, Ross, Laster, and Preston Brown.
Here's what I hope to see:
Fri.- Hudson
Sat.- Brown/Ross
Sun.- Laster/Fitts
Closer- Tatum/Houston
Midweek- Paul Young (Starting in March)
C- Collins
1B- Rea
2B- Heck (at the end of the year)
3B- Britton
SS- Holland (at the end of the year)
LF- Vickerson
CF- Robson/Smith
RF- Humphreys
DH- Cody Brown/Rooker

Hudson has a ton of potential. But at this point, that's all it is. He had a rough fall, thus the change in arm slot. Good part is he has the velo and you can't teach that. I'm not counting on him being a starter based on the conversations I've had. But it's still 2 months from the start of season-things change.

todd, why would you have brown dhing instead of hump. Brown is probably our best defender in the outfield.

I like Humphreys arm strength and how it could play in RF at Dudy-Noble. Brown, Vickerson, etc. will all get to play in the OF some.
