You've been handed a heavy dose of bullshit by someone that's probably laughing right now. If it was about locking out a second team, it would have been written into the rules, and they would have called it 4 conference champs.
There is not some grand anti-SEC conspiracy going on here. Contrary to(apparently) popular belief. If we're deserving in the end, we will be in.

Your source is either a moron or a troll. Either way, I appreciate the chuckle.

If we win we are in. Period. If conference championships were one of the most crucial criteria for this playoff, we would have dropped to 5-7 after Bama. The committee had their out to drop is from top 4. But they didn't because they believe we are a top 4 team. I honestly believe they think we are #1-2 but cannot put us there based on Bama's position and FSU not losing. No way they would let SEC have two top seeds, but by us holding steady shows they truly think we are one of best 4.
This shit isn't the BCS and the committee will not have to defend keeping us #4 of we win Saturday. We will finish 11-1 in the toughest division of the best conference with our only loss neon on the road at #1 by 5 points while losing turnover battle by 3. They would not have to defend selecting us one second.

I really think Ohio State, Florida State, Oregon and Bama have a chance to lose a game. I think both Texas schools TCU and Baylor will win out. But those two don't hurt us. Only Ohio State can jump us now and that won't even matter if we just get ONE of those first four I mentioned to lose. Only takes one. Then we are in for sure.

We have been in the top 4 for EVERY POLL
What are Ohio State, TCU, or Baylor going to do that is big enough to remove us? Nothing. Our only loss is on the road by 5 to the best team in the country- besides us. They arent moving us out after we settle all Family business Saturday
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Sorry unfortunately I don't agree. If everyone wins out we'll get dropped for Ohio State. The TV people will demand it. TV runs college football now. They are the ones that pay the SEC, ACC, B1G, Pac12 these gigantic contracts. They want all four of these conferences to get a representative if possible. We'll get dropped as an 11-1 SEC school for a 12-1 B1G Champ. We just will.

I have never claimed to have a reliable source, but this is from as reliable of a source as you can get that is not on the actual committee. If I turn out to be wrong, I will never claim to have a source again.
I'm sorry guys, but we need Alabama to lose and we need to win the SEC Championship.
I'm 90% sure I know who your source is now and I'm 99% sure that he has as much insights into that room as you and I. I've heard the same through the same channel, but he knows nothing about the inside of the playoff committee room.

Is it not obvious with all the jackasses at espn dumbfounded by all this that they don't know shit? Which means they have zero control.

I guess not yet to me. I just can't imagine the TV Networks have no say in this after they've invested billions of dollars into this product.

It's not like they can rip the contract up and start over. The committee would have to put Vandy, Kansas, Colorado and Indiana in the playoff to catch hell at all.

The most watched game each week has involved sec teams all but 2 weeks...
Week 2 -- usc vs Stanford
Week 8 -- ND vs fsu
Bama, kentucky, and auburn games with us were the most watched in their week. Tv wouldn't mind us

big difference, their buying inventory for immediate resale. The novelty of an MSU in the title game is probably as big a draw as an Ohio State that has a history of getting skulldragged in the natty, specially by a SEC team. We are the quintessential underdog and America loves its underdogs.

100% sure you or no one has any clue who it is. I agree he has no insight into the room directly. This person is not a coach, player, or media, nor is he affiliated with any single university.
And to engie, I said nothing about bias, but it is about conference champions. I hope I'm wrong and so is my source.
