Also need to realize that the 3-4 and 3-3-5 and it's variants are very difficult to pick up pass pro when You don't face it much. This is basically the first time we are seeing this. Glad we do this week because it will better prepare the team for what comes at Bama. And those two DEs are legit.
Not gonna lie, I LOVED the look of that last blitz that caused the TO. Hated we were the receiver of it, but that was textbook execution.

Cadeaver is right. We just haven't solved their defense. Second half will be interesting.

So are u discounting the way they handled the road game in Death Valley?

Too long? He had two seconds to get rid of that ball. That LB came through unblocked on a delayed blitz.

Dak needs to be more patient. There is a lot of underneath stuff he could go to that he is not even willing to look for.

Receivers aren't getting separation either forcing Dak to hold the ball too long. Sloppy half of football there.

We had their defense solved just fine. Running the ball just wasn't explosive enough. Run till they stop us.
We ran slip screens for big yardage and then just stopped.
We're just trying to do too much. Keep it simple, stupid (Dan)

More patient? What? He's holding it too long against pressure. He has to start either taking off, or at least rolling and buying more time to throw. Can't stand there like Tyler Russell, like a statue, against this D-Line and pressure.

Guess this is turning into a thread but LSU AND KY aren't on the same level as Bama OR OM this year.

Yes, too long. Dak is playing poorly because he's trying to make the Heisman play instead of just playing his normal game. Watch the replay and look at the wide ass open JRob standing in the middle of the field. He had long enough to be wide open so Dak had long enough to see it but he never stops looking at the deep receiver.

Dak needs to make them pay by using the underneath and dump off routes to counteract the rush of the defense.

I'm talking about willing to take shorter stuff NOT holding onto the ball longer.

Oh I agree. Check down to a screen or dump it to JRob in the flat

We really need to take the second half kickoff and score a TD.
